LightBurn Install doesn't recognize device

I’m trying to install the LightBurn software. I have my Laser on and connected to my laptop. When I open the icon on my desktop and it opens the program but is blocked by a window titled Your Device List. When I click find my Laser. it comes up with an empty box for the device info, type & connection. nothing listed below that.
Can anyone help me get past this section please?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Judy

BEFORE you click on Device make sure port is set to choose.

Have you looked at this ?

Is Judy using an xTool ? I don’t see it in her post, xTool has its own set of issues that could further confuse the problem.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for the information. I am not that far along in the process yet. I’m still trying to get the Gcode from the sd car from the xTool transferred to my laptop. I think I am working in the right direction anyway. I downloaded the xTool Creative Space that I think will aid in the transfer. I had to walk away for a bit. I’m back trying again.

Hi David,
Thank you for responding, I appreciate any advice. I’ve been loking through it and downloaded the xTool Creative software but had to walk away for a bit. I’m back trying to work my way through the manual.

Yes Chris. I think some of the issues are from it being an add on program. I’m making my way through it all through! Thanks to you, David and a friend Tim! I will post an update in a bit as I navigate LightBurn! I took care of all of the downloads & firewall issues and finally got LightBurn to recognize my xTool D1 10w. However, I’m still a bit baffled why the xTool software would not connect. Maybe because it wants me to transfer the code from the sd card to a usb with slot for sd card. (I don’t have one so I will need to get one to do that task). Trying to figure out why it can’t pull that information through the motherboard by itself. Seems an odd way to transfer information to me.

I am a little bit confused by your post there Chris, as it is plain to see in Judy’s profile that her laser is a xTool D1 unless I am missing something here

Chris, I have not seen anything request that setting but it shows in the LightBurn program that it is set to Com4 and that is what it set it to.

I’m not sure if that is the same terminology or not. I haven’t see a port request or setting location.

David, yes, xTool D1 10w. I was able to get into the LightBurn program but I don’t think it was a smooth process. I’m unfamiliar with the different software I downloaded to link thinks together but I am working on them and researching tutorials to try to get where I need to be. I may have to get a thumb-drive with the sd card capability. It may be what is hanging things up. Not very user friendly the way they want that transfer to happen in my opinion. I thank you for the link. I was using that to get through the steps and it was very helpful but something is still hung up. I may uninstall and reinstall if I don’t get anywhere in the next few days. I’m somewhat familiar with the tools in LightBurn but the installation has been quite an adventure to say the least. I will get there! Thanks so much!

Ohhhh I was reading the post not investigating the user profile, might have to do that in future.
