What’s the likelihood that LB will ever directly support the Nano board that comes in everyone’s K40 lasers?
Meerkt40 seems to have overcome this issue, it just seems like LB should be able to do it also.

I can’t speak for LightBurn but from an outsider’s perspective the chances look slim given that it hasn’t been done 'til date and the multiple statements that hae been made about the situation that don’t show a lot of enthusiasm for supporting the board.
In fact I think it may be partly the fact that Meerk40t and K40 Whisperer support the Nano boards well enough, paradoxically, that there’s less incentive to target the boards directly, especially when low cost board swaps are available.
Since just about every one that is sold ships with the nano boards, I can see plenty of reason to support them in addition to saving people extra money they don’t have to spend on a new board.
I don’t entirely disagree. It’s possible that some of the factors leading to this current situation have changed and need reevaluating but just speculating.
By the way, are you aware that Meerk40t offers both GRBL and Ruida emulation modes allowing you to use Meerk40t as a proxy to LightBurn?
