Hello, I used my machine yesterday, on an older Laptop, machine worked great. I purchased a new PC and set it up, downloaded Lightburn 1.7.06 as that is the version I use and am familiar with. I try to add device, set GRBL machine, size of work area and home position, but lightburn does not create the device or keep the profile of the machine. What is or what am I doing wrong? Help is appreciated.
Did you copy the .lbdev file from the old machine to the new one?
No I did not copy file. I have set all device and machine settings manualy. I have installed the CH340 driver.
Well, I got everything working!. I downloaded and installed the 1.07.07 version and then device was found. Not sure what the differance was but it worked.
Another thing i noticed was with this new PC, the machine seams to move quieter and smoother. Is that possible? Calibrated the x and Y axis, and they are more accurate also.
I did some test cuts on 3mm wood I was able to increase speed by 300mm/m or drop the power required by 20%. Has anyone experienced this when changing computers .?
