When using Lightburn and get done with what I am working on and go to click “Send” or “Frame” Lightburn spins, turns grey, and then prompts me with a “Not Responding”. It doesn’t happen every time, but I have tried to wait for it to respond, for 30+ minutes then have to follow up by force quitting Lightburn. I have mostly just been force quitting as it seems to be the only way to get back into Lightburn. I have my computer on the latest updates and this still seems to be happening 3-5x per day, and I am not using my laser/Lightburn that much. Just a few hours at the end of the day. I would really appreciate if anyone has any input on this! Thank you!
You can eliminate this by using Ethernet to the Ruida instead of a usb connection. I lasted less than a week before I switched mine to Ethernet.
Can you get it to your lan?
Lightburn has a PI bridge that is wifi and has a separate software layer to help with the Ruida UDP protocol. If you have a PI sitting around you can flash the PI with the Lightburn supplied image and run it…
Even a plain old wireless wifi bridge, like I used for a year cost me $12 US, works better than usb. Do you happen to have a spare wifi router? Sometimes these can be configured as a wireless bridge.
