Lightburn on 2nd computer

Hi. I’ve just bought Lightburn after my trial usage, I absolutely love the program. Is there any way to get Lightburn to run on a computer not connected to a laser engraver, I want to get to know the program better and would like to use it on my second computer, without actually operating the laser as I don’t carry the laser to work. Would appreciate any help.

I also wanted to put LightBurn on another computer.

Send an email to support@lightburnsoftware.com and request them to allow the access.

They were super helpful and very quick to respond!

True, they are very helpful at LightBurn, but you do not have to ask for permission, there is always the option to install LightBurn on 2 computers per license.

Yes, you are correct “bernd.dk” with regards to the 2 computer license, my mistake. I actually reached out to them so I could activate a third computer for me. Which was super easy!!!

That’s what I call generous and it fits very well with many small workshops like mine. I have a very old windows7 computer connected to my laser in the workshop but often do the preparations and design in the apartment on a mac. I send the files over the network. If I can find the time, I would like to try out LightBurn on a Linux computer and at this time I will politely ask for an extension of my license.

How many computers can I use it on? The license key lets you use the software on up to two computers at once, they don’t have to use the same operating system, and a license can be easily moved if you get a new computer. If you need to use it on 3 machines, we’re happy to update your license to allow it, at no cost. If you need more seats, or a floating license setup, we can do that too - contact us for pricing and details.
