I’m sure I only selected one of the objects and the outer circle.
Is this normal when you use the array function that it duplicates as I don’t see an option in the circle array field.
Just to make sure I am not losing the plot a little, I have uploaded my starting file.
So I select the small rectangle and then the circle. click on the circle array and then use the following settings:
start 0
end 360
step 45
copies 12
use last selected object position as centre (off)
rotate objects copies (on)
auto-increment variable test 1
click ok.
If I highlight them all I get 9 duplicates.
Is there something I am missing?
Thanks part1.lbrn2 (12.9 KB)
I examined both files. One was incredibly long to generate the preview. So I cancelled and removed duplicates. Then I ran it in preview. Although Cuts was set for 1 pass, it went round and round. That was a clue there were more than one circle. I deleted them one-by-one until my fingers cramped. I am wondering how there can be so many, and still not be duplicates. Max zoom in gave the answer. Many circles, but none the exact same radius. Deleted them all and replaced with one. It really improved the burn time.
Thanks Mike for the assistance, the preview tool is a great tool to find anomalies, just have to remember to use the preview before engraving/burning. But at least with the help from this fab group, you have all educated me where the error was found.
Thanks again.
