I have a weird update related issue. I am currently running 1.4.05, When I upgrade to any newer version I get double images. This is not an offset issue. I created a simple test file in 1.4.05 ran it. upgraded to 1.6.03 and got the double image, I downgraded back to 1.4.05 and the image is correct.
This doubling started happening at version 1.5. I just haven’t had time to post about it. I would upgrade, and have to revert back to 1.4.05 every time.
Sometimes when you update LightBurn, Windows will do strange things, like ignore your preferences/settings. Go to File>Load Prefs Backup>Select an option that worked for you previously to get your settings back.
I tried multiple preference backups. Same issue, doubled engrave.
Speed, acceleration, and distance can make a difference on whether you see ghosting/duplication.
If you open your device settings, do you have a scanning offset adjustment?
Are there any differences in your cut settings editor? Bi-directional fill for example?
It was an offset problem. The scanning offset adjustments didn’t automatically transfer between versions. I exported them from 1.4.05 and imported them into 1.6.03 and everything is good now.
