I have upgraded my xtool to the S1 from the D1. yesterday I tried to add my new machine to my Mac OS and it was not able to Automatically find it. I downloaded the drivers and IMPORTED it in to the software and it was working for a little bit. Now today, there is nothing there for the Laser module…I choose the S1 in the drop down and then there is nothing for the “module/laser”. no options to choose from when it was there yesterday. Can. you please assist
Can someone assist me please? Thank You
There’s no module/laser selector drop down in LightBurn - are you using xTool Studio?
Or do you mean the Device selection, here: Devices - LightBurn Documentation
Good morning!
I mean that there is nothing there to Select in the Module/laser drop down. when I first hooked it up, there was a module to select, now there is nothing there.
As Colin noted:
Can you show us a screenshot showing the place where said drop down was before?
Are you referring to the Port Selection menu here?
When working with the xTool S1, it’s important to set it up according to our instructions in this post:
I actually have the full license for Lightburn, due to I was using it for the previous xTool D1 Pro it was attached too. when I first hooked up my S1, it did have a module to choose in the dropdown. now there is nothing there. I will attached a screen shot. I apologize for this late response. And Yes I am referring to the screen shot you have there is nothing there to CHOOSE, when there was something originally there.
I also want to add that yes I have Lightburn 2.0.05 version, and just to be clear…there is nothing to choose in the Portal section like you stated. Sorry if there was any confusion or it was not states clearly on my part
If the comport does not appear in the drop down menu, it indicates an issue with the USB connection, or the laser is not turned on.
In your screenshot, we can see that you are still using xTool’s recommended settings (the one with the Chinese characters).
Follow the instructions in the link I sent earlier to set up your S1.
Happy New Year Aaron, do you have any suggestions?
Happy New Year!
