Limit switches doesn't always work

Hello,

can someone tell me why my limit switches are not working always.
The thing is that they are sometimes do they job sometimes they don’t. Does someone experience the same problem? Is it because of the size of my working area? There is a place 560 mm x 560 mm but my honeycomd is 400 mm x 400 mm and I set the working area to 451 mm x 451 mm.

Are you saying your laser doesn’t always home? Or do you also have hard limit switches installed?

I’m not sure what do you mean by hard switches but yes it is not always finding the home position and it is bouncing of the rail.

Most of these have a pair of switches that will detect both axes. When these are contacted it tells the controller it’s at it limit.

:smile_cat:

Is it just doing this on one rail, or does it do it on either one?
One switch detects one rail, and the other switch detects the other rail.

It’s OK now. The problem was that the machine is finding one laser GRBL1.1 and I’m chosing another whit the same parameters
