Limit switches - might be out of bounds

so, I have limit switches and the canvas is set up to the exact dimensions of my bed. When I place a piece to cut I get the 'it might be out of bounds warning and I don’t know why?? can anyone advise?

Very new to this so any help appreciated. The gantry also locks after a job just before it hits the switches and makes an awful jogging noise!

  • Have you homed / zero’d the machine?
  • Do you have any offset programmed? (type $# and look at the G54 field)
  • Is the laser reporting it’s at zero when at the origin? (click ‘Get Position’ in the Move window)

I have ‘set home position’ if that’s what you mean? Please excuse my ignorance, I’m very new to this world.

I will have a look at what you’ve suggested
