Line start power too much

I have a Ranger III from light object. I believe its the 70w tube in it. The start of every line the power is too much and im piercing the matarial. Ive tried reducing my power min, up my speed lower my speed etc. Im trying to do very detailed lines so i dont know if its laser, or more likely me. Any tips on how to resolve this? Im not too bright when it comes to this stuff but the trial & error is getting expensive. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It’s hard to tell what I’m seeing in the photo..

You might be ahead if you posted the lbrn2 project file for us to look at. Without setting and so forth we can’t offer you much.

Is that the back of an acrylic sheet you have processed?

As @jkwilborn writes, we lack everything to be able to provide any professional help. It can only be unqualified guesswork …
Try again and give us the necessary information:

Material used,

Power and speed - in the units of measurement used,

The best information is often to provide a screenshot of the settings - (not a phone picture).

In some cases, the lbrn2 file itself or parts of it are very useful.

In cut settings~ advanced you can time the laser start time- perhaps try that?

Using a higher power and moving the laser through the materials quickly is best in acrylic.

Is that melted plastic in the image?

It doesn’t look like acrylic at all… are you sure you have the correct material?
