For some time now, my Sculpfun S9 has been leaving faint lines between cuts.
I can’t figure out why. I haven’t changed the LightBurn settings even though I updated the software. I currently have version 2.0.02, but I had the same problem with the previous version.

This is a fairly common issue. It usually happens when the laser stays on during travel moves. There’s a guide here that walks through the causes and fixes:

On most GRBL-based machines like the Sculpfun, the fix is to make sure laser mode is enabled — in the Console, type:
$32=1
and press Enter. That setting tells the controller to turn the beam off between cuts.
If that doesn’t solve it, let us know and we can check further.

The command $32=1 already appeared in the console before cutting.
I typed $32=1 anyway, and the response was OK.
The problem, however, hasn’t gone away.
Could it be a hardware problem?
