Added extension kit to longer ray5 changed bed size in light burn but won’t go past original table size gives me limit error codes any help???
You’ll also need to go to edit>machine settings and change the $131 value to match the new Y axis length.
The value in device settings changes the virtual workspace in Lightburn only. The machine settings changes the laser controller itself. Make sure you click “write” to send the new value to the controller.
What do you change it to and where I don’t even have a 131
In Lightburn is your laser turned on and connected
Hello Chris I figured out the 131 problem but I’m guessing in all the button pushing I changed something I shouldn’t have because now the laser goes out a few inches them comes flying back when u hit home that it moves the entire machine and gives me a hard code….can you tell me how to reset the entire machine back to factory settings it worked great until I hit and changed something. Don’t have to worry about doing that again now that I know how to set the table size right without hitting random buttons. Thank you very much
Go to the longer website and download the firmware for your machine. Install per instructions. That should get you back to factory.
So it has the latest firmware still not working right moves about 5inches then stops says it’s busy in light burn and can’t move axis so how do I reset everything the laser and LightBurn so I can set it up like it just came out of the box I don’t have anything really in LightBurn…
I’ve never had that busy message.
I’m also not familiar enough with the reset and restore options to feel comfortable giving advice on that.
Perhaps @LightBurn or @berainlb can weigh in?
Please provide the following:
- Confirm that your machine has homing switches
- Is the machine homing properly? To what corner does the machine home?
- Do you know what other parameters you changed?
- What are the expected dimensions for your laser? Please make X vs Y clear.
When does it do this?
- Run this command in Console and return output:
$$
Thank you, PY. I don’t want to steer anybody wrong and I’m still a sophomore.
You’re doing fine work, and with an admirable sense of humility.
