Longer RAY5 Connection to MAC issue

I have bought a Longer RAY5 and Lightburn but I cant get it to connect to my Imac.

When i first connected the cable I got a message saying that the port was being used or open. i moved the usb cable and i worked for a little bit. I could move the print head.

Then it stopped again and no matter what i do I cant get it to connect.
here is a short video of the issue

This makes it look like you are connected.

A few things to look out for:

  1. Make sure no other programs are potentially opening the port. Any communications program, CNC program, microcontroller programming software, etc. are potential candidates
  2. If you haven’t, try rebooting the computer.
  3. Make sure the proper port is selected in the Port field in between “Devices” button and laser device name in Laesr window.
  4. Try forcing reconnect by right-clicking “Devices” button in Laser window
