Hi, I recently just bought a second hand 50w Chinese Ruida based machine, I am using Lightburn but it is unable to find the machine via usb. I am using a Mac; do I need drivers for the laser cutter’s USB port? If so does anyone know where to find said drivers? Any help is greatly appreciated
You shouldn’t need drivers for the Mac for USB, though there is a known issue with the built-in Mac virtual serial port driver conflicting with the FTDI driver used by Ruida.
Power cycle the machine fully then try connecting again. If that works, read here for a way to solve it more permanently:
