I started up my omtech 100watt laser this morning and all ti does is make loud whining sound and it acts like its stuck in the rotary mode. i tested my rotary last night and it crapped out which pisses me off lol. I unhooked the rotary and plugged the laser back in. the rotary box is off as well and this is the result when i turned the laser on this morning. I did try the reset and it was a no go. I need help please
i have to add that when my laser is on i can move the laser left to right with no problem but front to back makes this loud whining noise . this is the same noise i get when i initially turn on the machine
Look into the electronics bay for any error lights. Don’t know which controller you have.
Check the motor drivers for red lights.
I have a 6442G also.
The 5V led is normal, although I think my run light flashes…
The stepper motor drivers on the right of your photo … are both of them green?
Can you swap motor cables between the two motor divers…?
You will have to move the head to center of the machine, power up and keep press esc on the machine console to stop the homing cycle.
Using the machine console, move each axes, did the problem axes change?
