Mac not recognizing laser

My Woxcker L2 is connected correctly to my Mac. Software, driver, and Mac are all running correctly. My problem is my Mac does not recognize the laser in the USB port. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get it to connect, but nothing happens. I spoke with Apple support for two hours with no resolution. I’ve contacted Woxcker support with no resolution either. This is my last resort before I send the laser back. Can someone PLEASE help me. I’ve been trying to connect this machine for five days now. I need help!

Check out this video—it’s the best help I can offer since I use Windows.

HTH.

I saw this video already. It didn’t help unfortunately.

Did you try each USB port on the Mac?

Yes. I’ve tried that about 20 times.

What are the details of your mac? Make, model, year, operating system, etc.

A CH34X driver is included by default by apple, but installing a second one can create a conflict.

Unplug any devices using the CH34X drivers.

Open up the terminal on your mac and input this:

sudo su

hit enter, then type in you password.

rm -rf /Library/Extensions/usbserial.kext

Then hit CTRL+D (yes even on a mac, not cmd+D)

Then reboot your system.

Install the latest CH34X driver (maybe 1.8?)

Again, restart your mac.

Did you try going through a USB 2.0 hub? Different cable?
