I’m trying to cut some tabs to keep certain parts of a design on. However, they also connect to parts I want to cut out. Trying to figure out what the best way to do this is without reworking the entire design. This is how I want it to behave (red lines cuts) - but it connects the maximum number of parts here (so 4 ways instead of 2).
If this isn’t functionality that exists, can I export the cut path as a DXF or SVG or something, so I can bring that into my vector editor with the existing tabs from lightburn to modify them? Or is there some way to turn tabs to be permanently visible (even when not having the layer open or tab tool with selection) so I can try and add the bridges manually with the line tool?
Yeah that’s what I was afraid of. That tool is great but when you have ~100 tabs to do it takes a bit longer. Was hoping there might be some workaround with the existing tab tool.
Re: The laser - it’s just an older chinese cabinet. It’s on casters and that was at 300mm/s so there’s some wobble to be expected. The detail is so small and it’s going to be used for an electro etch so the wobble isn’t a huge issue here
