Manual Ruida air assist

Hi,

Does anyone know offhand how to turn on air assist on the Ruida? Air Assist works fine when I use Lightburn, but every once in a while I just want to make a straight cut of some material from the Ruida control panel itself, and I can’t figure out how to turn on air assist from the Ruida control panel. Thanks.

You cannot manually activate the wind output from the Ruida HMI. If you want to manually activate your air assist, you can piggy back a bypass ball valve around your solenoid (or something similar).

Another suggestion is to just Send over from LightBurn and save on the controller’s memory such straight-line cuts with the job having air assist on the layer. Then when you want to make a cut, just navigate to the job from the HMI file menu, load it, and run it. It will always be there when you need it.
