I am currently using LB version 1.07.08 on multiple Windows 11 platforms. The issue is the same on all platforms. The issue that I am having is that when I attempt to open windows such as the Console or Material Library, the window will open, but only in the upper left corner of the screen. No matter what I try, I am unable to move it from that location and cannot dock it to the other docked windows on the right side of the workspace. There is no window bar at the top of the opened window, so can’t grab it and move it, nor does a right-click on the mouse give me the “Move” option. I’ve attempted to change the screen zoom as well as other options; however this makes no difference.
Very frustrating having to open them and close them each time I want to use them.
Any insight on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Screen shot attached.
Thanks for the response. I have the application on 3 Win 11 machines. Two laptops in my office, and one Win11 Tablet controlling the cutter. Does the same thing on all 3 machines.
Resetting to default DOES open them in the lower right docking panel, however, then the panel only has one window with tabs at the bottom. I much prefer to have it configured with two sets of windows on the docking panel, so that the Layers is above the Laser window (so that both are visible and accessible, as I use these the most). I’m pretty new to Lightburn, so just may be ignorant of the keyboard commands that allow me to do so. I’ve done it before, but don’t know what the heck I did to get it that way. However, resetting to default does place them into the Docking area, but in a single window/tabs.
I suspect that this may just be part of the learning curve as with all new SW, but somewhat frustrating, lol. Mine don’t open in the middle of the active window, so can’t grab them like you do. I thought that this may be some obscure Windows setting, however other apps don’t do the same.
And nope, don’t have multiple monitors.
Oh, and after reset to default, any that I close and re-open exhibit the same issue. Very weird.
It may simply be an issue of that machine not having enough vertical resolution to support the windows dual stacked like you want. The windows require a minimum amount of vertical space each, and if there isn’t enough, it won’t work.
Dave, I am not sure of the minimum recommended vertical resolution. Pretty much all of my machines have 4K displays on them, so I’ve never run into a situation of not having enough vertical resolution.
Thank you Jess. My resolution is at 4k, so not sure if that is the issue , but I’ll review the video and let you know if it resolves the issue! Thank you!!
