Mask-post-rotation

I saw a similar post to this (117014) but I didn’t quite understand what the resolution was and the topic is now closed.

I brought in an image that needed a slight rotation, which I was able to do, and then I needed to square up the resultant. I used the mask to do so. Only problem is, is the original rectangle is still referenced, and when I try to frame the image on my workpiece, both the width and height are now exaggerated because a tilted rectange has greater geometry than the trued-up rectangle.

Did you right click and use flatten image mask after using the mask operation?

yup - but even after flattening the original boundary is kept. Similar to what was reported in 117014.

As far as I remember from that former discussion - there is no solution to that. The selection frame will always stay like that. There is no way to change it and no intention to change for coming LB versions.
