Setting up a Material Test in Lightburn using my Commarker Omni 1, doesn’t give the option for selecting Power as one of the test parameters. It’s odd. All examples I look at online select Power, and some other options for testing. All other expected options do appear though, just not Power.
Hi Ron
In the Vertical/Rows and Horizontal columns The dropdown box ‘Param:’ allows you to set/chooss for Speed, Power, Interval, Passes.
Thanks for the response. The problem is, it’s not giving me Power as an option in either of the dropdowns.
Hallo Ron.
Der Commarker Omni 1 hat einen fixen Leistung Wert.
Der dürfte bei 95 % liegen. Der Wert ist nicht verstellbar, um die Lebensdauer des Lasers zu verlängern.

Hello Ron.
The Commarker Omni 1 has a fixed power value.
This should be around 95 %. The value cannot be adjusted in order to extend the service life of the laser.
This is correct, but the reason is different:
The Omni 1 has a UV laser source. These diodes fire at a fixed power.
The impact on the material depends on these values:
- Speed
- Frequency (The repetition rate of the pulses)
- Q-Pulse (The time in nanoseconds over which the power is released)
These PDFs from Commarker provide a good starting point to find the correct settings:
Be sure to save your Material Test parameters:
And store your settings in a Material Library for easy access in the future.
