Maximum speed for a Diode Laser

Hello,

Does anyone know what is the maximum speed of a diode laser?

I have purchased an ATOMSTACK A5 PRO+ and i feel it can be a bit faster if i change it’s default settings but i’m a bit concerned it that if i change them it will damage the laser.

$112=1000.000
$120=1000.000
$121=1000.000
$122=10.000

the speed is a consequence of the controller not of the module laser itself

You can arrive at a figure empirically. Start at a safely low number. Then clock up step by step until you actively hear slipping. Then back off a safe amount to allow for cushion.

Keep in mind that running faster will stress all other aspects of your setup including machine precision, machine rigidity, air support, material hold-down, etc.
