I’m not really new. I’ve been working with hobby lasers for almost 2 years, not new but not a master for sure.My problem is when I need exact final sizing I can’t seem to get them. My height seems to be ok but my width always burns over an 1" bigger that I have set. What is my problem, any help would be appreciated.

Always 1" wider no matter what width you’re trying to achieve? Or proportionately bigger depending on size?
It seems to depend on final measurement. Like I put in a rectagle in Lightburn ad 2.00" Hgt and 5.00" Width I’ll get a cut that ends up 2" X 6".. ths happens with everything I do I can’t cut a real circle or square and when I use templates the are still out.
Start by going to Edit Menu> Machine Settings and verifying that your X and Y axis steps per mm are set to the same value. On most diode lasers this is 80 or 100. If they are not the same, change the one that is incorrect, probably Y. If changing those settings don’t bring it into calibration, then do an axis calibration.
Thanks for the help. I ended up going to an early backup and I just cut 2 Perfect rectangles and 3 circles.
