Have down loaded millmage, I have had lightburn for some years now! When I downloaded I put in the Cnc I have genmitsu 6050 and put usb ! Did not connect! But I just want to get used to the cad cam side of things. Also save gcode to a usb and put it in a separate laptop with sender which is still connected to my Cnc ….. doing and learning in stages what can I do can’t get back to where I entered usb to connect Cnc should have pressed none, I’m thinking ! Q#2 how can I get back to job set up when 1/2 way through and want to change timber sizes etc?
Your story was a little hard to follow, but I think you have 2 issues:
- Communications: You do not need to be connected to investigate MillMage, but it does have to think you have a machine. If you do a Manual setup for your Device, you can easily tell it everything it needs to know about your 6050 machine. Let us know how that goes.
- Workpiece size change: Not sure what you really want here. The Grid, which represents your table travel limits, is adjusted in the CNC Tools, Device Settings window. To my knowledge, or experience, you do not enter your material size in any settings, except for thickness. You destgn and stay within the Grid area. I use a Tool Layer (T1) to define my material X and Y dimensions.
- To get back, just double click the Operation you were previously working on.
The correct Device Type for Genmitsu CNC’s is GRBL.
