Min Power on curves

Hi,
I own a 60W CO2-laser with a ruida controller. Recently I’m experiencing a problem with minimum power. I’ve always had it at 30% and it was working fine. Now, when the laser cuts a curve, it uses minimum power instead of maximum power. I can see, that whenever it cuts anything but a straight line, the amperemeter shows a smaller value, equivalent to the minimum power I set (e.g. lets assume 100% is 18mA, then whenever it cuts a curve, the amperemeter shows 6mA aka 30% of 18mA). If I cut a straight line, it uses 18mA.
I’m not shure, but I think it came with LB 1.7.0 (still having the issue with 1.7.01). Any idea, what this might have caused?

If the “curve” consists of a zillion tiny straight segments, that may force the controller to proceed at a snail’s pace and when the speed falls below the controller’s Start Speed setting, it will reduce the power below the minimum you set for the layer.

The default Start Speed is usually around 10 mm/s. In my KT332N controller, it’s at Edit → Machine Settings → Cut Settings.

You can reduce that value if you must use slower speeds for thicker materials.

mhm, but the speed is normal. Just the power is low and of course I don’t cut through at these settings.
