I am Windows 10 user. MiniGrbl board K40. On the new version 1.0 , I am able to move the laser head with move functions as usual but when I press start(to engrave a file). The head moves as to engrave but the laser is not turning on or engraving. I downgraded to the previous version 0.9.24 and the issue has been rectified. The laser turns on while engraving.
Can you show me a screen shot of your Edit > Device Settings window?
Actually, if you can, draw a simple square in 0.9.24, click ‘Save GCode’ and save that as a text file, then do the same in 1.0, then attach both files here. I can’t think of any reason why 1.0 wouldn’t be working for you - we’ve been running it on GCode machines here for a long time, so it might be a setting difference, somehow.
