Missing parrt of outline in trace function

I’ve traced a simple heart image, then changed it from fill to line. When I preview it you’ll notice a section of the outline in the lower right quadrant is missing. Hot can I make the connection so I can cut the entire outline?

First, double click on the layer and ensure you don’t have Tabs/Bridges enabled. If not, then you need to fix the missing spot in your artwork.

Hi @Padre66

Perhaps you could share the .lbrn2 project file, and we can have a look? It’s not easy to see what’s happening from your screenshot.

Here it is . . .

I tried using a couple of different tools but couldn’t find the missing section. Is there a particular drawing tool you recommend?

What you uploaded is not your tracing, so I cannot see what you ended up with. I just did a trace of your image. To get a decent trace, I used sketch trace and ended up with 2 lines. I deleted one. Here is the result.

@thelmuth is right, we’re only seeing the image. I was able to trace a single line around the shape in one try.

here is the output (I’m showing it in rendered Fill)

When you are having a hiccup on one layer, the easiest way to check your sanity is to move the item to a different layer and see if the problem is still present.

Thanks to all for your help. I took Tim’s result and it worked fine. I think I need to play around with my original .png file and see it I can get it to trace properly.
