MM Connect Problem

was learning on mm pro rc on my sienci longmill mk2.5 with a superlongboard and grblhal for a couple of hours this morning. i have a timer on the power to the controller so that after 4 hours it shuts off so that i don’t forget it and in the past has heated up. once i turned the power back on, it showed it was connected to com3 like it should, but could not jog or anything. recycled the power to the controller and restarted the computer but nothing. shut down and will wait until tomorrow. is there a force connect anywhere?

You can right click the Devices button to force a reset.

thanks, will try

Hi Bruce, were you able to connect with success?

I turned on the controller, booted the computer and tried mm. It had the device on com3 so I tried jogging. It seemed as though it was trying as all buttons were no response. I tried several different functions with same result.

I then terminated mm and started up gsender. Connected and everything worked ok.

I then exited gsender and restarted mm. Now everything works ok.

Joe Spanier on facebook responded to set the DTR switch to on and that he was going to make that the default. He must be a mm developer.

@JoeSpanier sure is. Thanks Joe! Glad you’re up and running!

I’m a lot of things. I pretend to be a dev here and drive the real ones nuts.
