When selecting my layer/color and creating the shape as seen in 1, 2, 3, 4, my Layers in 5 do not match. Shouldn’t the colors be the same on both tabs?
I have an odd layer (01) seen in the Layers tab, but not on my Operations tab. Why?
I created a rectangle pocket numbered 1. I am not able to get it to change color no matter which layer I change it to. Why?
It would be really helpful for the Operation Tab to show Layer colors next to the Operation, or even make the Operation match the Layer color. Such that Item 2 in my screenshots, are the same color as #6. It would help us select the correct layer without needing to change tabs or open the Operation to find the correct layer.
The color palette is design-only, and the layers reflect that. Operations are not necessarily tied to a specific layer color - any geometry can be added to an operation, regardless of the layer color.
If you disable the ‘show’ slider of Layer 00 and Layer 27, I suspect you’ll find a piece of geometry still displayed somewhere in your workspace. You can use ‘Edit > Select All Shapes in Current Layer’ to select that geometry too.
I do agree that the selection/management of the Layers tab could be better, and I’ve suggested as much internally. We welcome all feature requests over on Fider
