I want to cut out of 1/8" plywood the frames for a large model ship. I have jpg images of the frames. I will try to attach a PDF of that image. I would think I could use trace to create the lines for the laser to cut those frames rather than just tracing onto the plywood and cutting with a band saw. I will need perhaps 20+ frames.
I can’t find a way to attach the image. I can email it to anyone that might have an idea on how to approach this issue.
Thanks, Jay
Your concept is sound and will be much faster than hand sawing with a bandsaw. If you have the JPG images, import it to LB and use the trace bitmap option. Once converted, you’ll probably have to clean up the traces a bit, but that’s about as difficult as it gets.
Use the upload button to load the images (PNG or JPG) rather than PDF, as you’d have a bitmap in a PDF which is not as useful, in my opinion.
