Hi everyone,
I have an Atom stack A10 Pro and want to upgrade it with a more powerful module. My question is, which one can I use without having to change anything in the electronics?
Unless your laser unit was designed for the more powerful module at the factory, not possible.
I am guessing yours is a 10w module. That is a 12v power supply rated for just enough output for the laser and drives. To use a 20w module, you will be changing to a 24v requirement for the module, and substantial more current is required. Then you toss in needed adaptor plates, reduced travel limits, worse performance due to the substantially larger laser module on a weaker frame, and you end up with a substantial project.
MY solution was to upgrade my 10w laser (S30 “Scalpel”) with a new 40w/20w laser (SF-A9 “Chainsaw”). More powerful laser modules have larger dot sizes which translates to poorer resolution.
Thanks for the quick reply. Then I’ll have to buy a new, stronger laser.
This will work on the A10 Pro
AtomStack R30 V2 Upgraded Infrared Laser Module for Metal and Plastic
Check the Atomstack store. They may have some other modules available
Lookup Atomstack M150. Says it is compatible with the A10 Pro
Here’s another one
I’ll Google everything and then see what happens.
Thanks
