"Move to Position" X and Y values limited to 3000

When entering X and Y values for the ‘Move to Position’, it appears that they are limited to a maximum of 3000. This is a bit of a nuisance with a table size of 2400mm x 6000mm (8’ x 20’).

Similarly, jogging distance seems to be limited to 5000, although not really a limiting factor.

“One would expect” that these values (or at least the ‘Move to Position’ values) would be limited by the configured ‘Working Size’ in ‘Device Settings’ rather than some magic value (a cursory reading of other threads suggests that 3000 is used as a default value for some things).

Is there a way to increase the ‘Move to Position’ X and Y maximum values beyond 3000 to accommodate larger tables?

Thanks!

I’ve never seen a machine with a working area that large, so I assumed they were reasonable. We have to specify some kind of numeric limits for the controls, but I’ll increase them, and see if I can get that into the 1.7 release candidate.

Thanks! Much appreciated. Will save late night mental math errors on jogging to the end or entering positions in the ‘Saved Positions’ (which seem to have a limit of 10,000).

If it’s not too much to rework (eventually), I’d suggest loading the values from the device’s configured working size, as the max values, whenever the device selection is changed.

Next table may be 8’ x 50’ (~ 2400mm x 15,200mm). Engraving and cutting patterns out of rolled textiles.

Thanks again.

For the moment I did a quick fix which bumps all of them to 10,000. That’s what I can do safely for the 1.7 release, squeaking it through without much testing.

For the future, I’ll make a note to have it based on the device size, which require proper testing.

Excellent approach.
