Multiple Devices for Omni 2 Rotary issue

I am using lightburn 1.0.0.5 and running an Omtech AF4063-150. I have recently upgraded from the 4 wheel rotary too to the piburn Omni 2. This rotary has 2 sides, a wheel and a chuck side. Following the advice found online I duplicated my laser device so that I could have 2 different setups, one for each side of the rotary. This allows me to set up the options correctly for each unit such as the chuck/roller setting and mirroring. However when I change the steps per rotation on either device I find that it has changed the inactive device too when I change devices. Is there something that I am doing wrong or something that I am not understanding correctly about this process?

I don’t think so. I have a roller and a chuck rotary. I mostly use the chuck, but occasionally need the roller. My experience has been that when you enter the rotary settings in the dialog box it writes them to the Ruida Controller. Every time you open the rotary setup dialog it reads what’s written in the controller, which will be the last device used. Unfortunately you need to make the changes each time you switch devices.

Thank you, this was my guess as well. There is a “read settings” button on that screen which made me think that is might be possible to turn off the automatic reading of the settings from the controller.

Either control of the reading function or support for more than one rotary would be a nice added feature in the future.
