Multiple instances with different file and machine settings.
Is there a way I can run my second machine and use the same files in my art library but have different power settings for my files. ie one is 130w and the other is a 60w. I can’t use the same speed and power settings on the 60 as I do the 130, but I would like to sometimes cut the same items on both machines and have the similar results. So is there a way when I create a machine profile, can I save the power settings for that particular machine?. I may be missing something simple im sure. Or is this a future update? I am running Ruida controllers on both and LIGHTBURN 1.3.01. Any help would be great!
Thanks
You can use Linking to make this process more automatic. If you set up your Material Libraries for separate devices to have materials of the same name (Material/Thickness/Description), and link a given material to a given layer, the settings will automatically shift as you switch devices.
Create a material in a library for one device profile. Then, switch to your other device profile- if you haven’t created a separate library for this profile yet, you should see the entries from your other library. Click ‘Save As’ to rename and make a copy of this library. Next, edit the cut parameters (click ‘Edit Cut’) the entry of the material you created in the first library, and click ‘Link’ to attach it to a layer.
Now switch back to your original device- you should see the settings change automatically, and any file saved with a material linked to a layer will open with the correct settings from your individual Material Libraries.
