I have the following layout - which is too big for my bed, i have to span across two separate sheets. Is it possible to add another “bed” and say to lightburn - cut this one, tab over and then cut this one
it would make layouts easier

Not at this time, but there is a feature suggestion which has a lot of support and is also shown as being planned by Lightburn
Have you researched the Cut and Print tool?
the what? sorry not sure what this is
Thank you, ill have a look
Take a look at the different start from modes. I use “current position” and “cut selected graphics only” 99% of the time and I never use the drawn workspace at all. Objects are just placed somewhere and only the parts that I want to be sent are used.
Here is an example how I sort my objects (I never move anything to the workspace grid, I just select the sheet I need and send it):
what im finding is that - given this layout - say i want to cut the green one on the right - it gives me an XY (out of range f the bed) error - i know why, i dont know how to fix it
[edit: ive just seen you use “current position”… im a muppet should have thought of that …]
separate sheets would be easier, as per the post from @Mooseuk , and allow you to just switch and send - im a bit of a skinflint and run projects from scraps to save cutting into new sheets (unless i have to) - so i spend quite a bit of time on layout.
yes i can set them up on the bed, group one selection and move it, do the next selection etc etc but its messy
I think using “cut selected graphics only”, “use selection origin” and current position as start makes your whole process much easier. Especially if you use scrap pieces and align a lot. That’s what I do as well, usually.
And if you favor multiple workspaces, use the same settings I listed and put a grid of T1 shapes at the same size of the workspace and just select everything that’s inside this shape. Like in my example, just square blue shapes instead of the A4 and A3-sized shapes.
Pay attention to the green circle, it shows the origin of your project. It’s the same, just like a second workspace.
