My image engraves up side down on my s20 sculpfun laser

The image or text engraves up side down on my laser. I have limit switches &
it goes to home on startup. I have to put the object I want to engrave 180 degrees
to have it correctly engraved. What do I need to adjust ???

This most often happens when a LightBurn file is brought over from a CO2 laser to a Diode laser.

The motion is understood in terms of the origin and away from it.

When the corner that the origin is in is changed, the direction that ‘away’ happens to be in also changes.

I’m taking a bit of a guess that ‘upside-down’ means that the Y-axis is inverted.

Click Edit, then Device settings, You should have this pop-up

To reverse the Y axis only, move the origin Up or Down, wherever it’s not currently at. Let’s not move it Left to Right until we’re sure we’re making the correct move first.

If my guess was good, your art will now be ‘upside down’ and it will be produced the way it looks.

The last step is to do what you did previously when you turn the art upside down to make the engraving behavior correct. (… probably the mirror command?) This way your image in the workspace will match the expected output of the engraver.

If this doesn’t work, We’ll need a bunch more information to get to the bottom of this.

Well it turns out that I had rotary turned on, and it was the problem.
Now I wonder what will happen when I go back to using the rotary !!!
