Is there a way of getting all my settings back with Lightburn?
I have just used my serial on different pc but nothing has came with it
It depends on what exactly died on your dead PC. If its disk drive is still alive it could potentially be connected to another computer and your settings files could be retrieved.
Hi mate I have managed to get the hard drive out and can access light burn files but don’t know what I need to transfer?
Your prefs file should be located in (Windows) C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\LightBurn\prefs.ini
I don’t know if anything else of use would be in that folder, but wouldn’t hurt to look around
Hi and thanks for reply I did find the folder I had to search for hidden folders I unfortunately could get it Working like this the file saved as prefs had the extension .old and lightburn would let me select it
I had to make the drive bootable and load prefs folder from lb and copied it
Then exported laser and bed settings from devices
All in all was a massive issue hopefully lb makenit easier in the future
Glad you got it working. To avoid going through this again in the future, consider doing a File / Export Prefs and export your settings to a flash drive or NAS or cloud storage or someplace where you will be able to restore from if you ever need to.
