Need a replacement cable

Hello,

I have a Jiccoda LE-1 engraver, but lost the power cable after recently moving to a new house. I’ve purchased a couple generic “universal” power cables but none have worked. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement, or at least the “specs” I need for a generic? I can see it is rated 24V, 4A, but don’t know the barrel size for the connector tip. Does anyone know if this one is compatible: Amazon.com: 24V Power Supply, 24V 6A Power Supply 100V-240V AC to 24V DC Power Supply with LED Terminal Connector, 24 Volt 6 Amp Power Supply 5A 4A 3A 2A 1A DC Adapter with 5.5x2.1mm Jack : Electronics ?

Thanks,
Jeff

Assuming your laser is a 24v machine, a 6A supply should work fine. But without knowing the connector barrel size, whether or not that Amazon unit will work is a mystery.

Do you have ANYTHING with a barrel type connector you can plug in? Something that can give you a relative indication of the size?

In what way did they not work?

I just tried miscellaneous cables I had around the house. On the first, the barrel diameter was too much and it wouldn’t even fit in the receptacle. On the second, the diameter was small enough to fit, but the machine still wouldn’t turn on so I’m guessing the barrel length was too short. I’ve tried emailing Jiccoda after-sales support and scoured the Jiccoda storefront on Amazon, but have gotten no response from either.

Measure the barrel diameter. Long or short should not matter. You have what you need to know to order a replacement power supply.
