Hello I’m using Elegoo PHECDA 20w and somehow I don’t manage to do engraving and cutting properly in Lightburn:
I had this set up in Lightburn:
so two layers. One in Fill mode for engraving the “test” text and one for cutting it out as a rectangle.
When I hit start, it cut out the rectangle and did nothing else:
When I switched off the output of the second layer (the cutting Layer 00) the laser did something but without any result. There was no engraving visible.
While framing the laser moved the right proportion and size of the text area but when I actually started the engraving step it moved way out of the area of the framing and the proportion seemed to be completely different.
now I did another test:
this time completely on a cutting layer.
The result was distorted:
then a second try (I made it bigger this time:
so now not even the cutting works well…
What am I doing wrong here?
(when I export it as svg and use it to cut with laserGRBL it works fine and the proportions are just as they’re supposed to be)
