Need help with positioning

Help please! There is a disparity between where my laser head is and where it thinks it is. When I go to home it travels up to the top right and buzzes loudly. But according to the placement on the computer screen, it thinks it is in the lower right. HELP!

It sounds like you are supposed to Home front left, correct?

In the Console window, enter $# and see if the G54 offset has something other than zeros.

If it does, enter $RST=# on the Console window.

Thanks for taking the time to try. Unfortunately it didn’t help.

You see like someone who knows MUCH more than I do. I’m pretty much a newby.

When I try to home I get this message: “Homing fail. Could not find limit switch within search distance. Defined as 1.5 * max travel on search and 5 * pulloffs on local searches.”

IDEAS?

More info:
Suddenly the machine thinks the position which SHOULD be x=0, y=0 is now x = -400, y = -400. **

There is a switch in the Settings window with CNC in the name. Don’t remember the exact name, but turn it on.
