Need some opinions

So I cut my first patch with this laser head(Laser Tree K20) and I honestly don’t know enough to know if this is a power or speed issue so would you bump the speed or lower the power slightly? Just trying to eliminate that slight burn beyond my lines also I’m running air assist

As always I appreciate you folks!

What are your settings?
The patch must be really flat, a deformation leads to a change of focus!
I would lower both, the speed to remove the jolts and vibration and power it seems to burn too much and if you lower the speed, you have to lower the power (the laser stays longer in the same place so it burns more, logical!)

If I’m not mistaken 236 at 20% so I’m using a whole sheet to cut out my own shapes so should I use magnets right outside the patch cutting area? I had them on all 4 corners in the sheet with this cut

Are you talking about the visible lines in between? You don’t need to adjust speed/power, you need to adjust the DPI values.

So I just noticed those, do you mind explaining that process? :joy:

If you have a filled object, you can (have to) decide, how the distance between the lines should look like:

Other than at images, the DPI or line width setting is hardware depended. Your beam has a size and the line width should reflect that. You need to test which setting fits best. And you can also play with overlapping lines etc. Just test what looks best for each project.
