Its /2 (divide by two) because you cut on both sides. Right and left or top and bottom. when you measure your measuring the difference between the object and the hole, which is 2 cuts.

You can play with the kerf setting (blue layer) until you find the desired fit. The red layer is reference with kerf = 0.
In this small example, the difference of upscaling of the 5% is also clearly seen.
The difference of kerfsetting can only be seen in the preview window.

thanks i will give that ago on the weekend see how it works out fingers crossed it does if i could not scale up or down would i have to go into node editing on every tab and slot and change it manually … or is there another way of doing it ???
