NEJE Master 2S Plus - hacking for I/O pin

is there a simple way to find out if the current firmware (GRBL) is able to switch on/off some unused IO pin on the microcontroller?
I’d like to have something that could control air-assist.

NEJE says no, but their documentation isn’t very explicit on how to do this even on the S3 model.

You will have to look and see what’s appropriate for your machine.

It does show how to hook them up to later versions where they use the M8 variant to turn on air assist… that’s in the device settings.

When grbl boots/connects, it shows all it’s information in the Lightburn Console.

Good luck
