New issue kinda

I forgot to mention in my engraving post another issue I’m having is when I hit the home button it goes to the upper left corner 0.0 and after that no matter what I do it stays there even if I try jogging the laser it displays an error message in red then in black text it says unlocked ok but it won’t move even if I click on the frame button I get nothing

Providing the text of that error message will definitely help solve the problem …

This is typically due to using the Home function on a machine without home switches or with a bad Home configuration, but the resolution depends on your machine’s configuration and its GRBL parameters. If you can provide those, they’ll go a long way toward getting a quick resolution.

I sure can I’ll post it soon

This is after I home it and it won’t move

have you tried placing the laser head in its machine origin while its turned off then re booting?

Working through the GRBL configuration doc should get you further along the path:

The section near the bottom describing how to set up Home / Limit switches and configurations will be helpful.

There are several different versions of Atomstack engravers, each with various combinations of features, so listing which one you have will help folks help you.

My apologies I thought I did I have an Atomstack p7 M30

Put that in your profile so it’s easy to find!

The Atomstack “manual” doesn’t explain exactly how the thing operates, but apparently it does not have limit switches. In that case, this part of the LightBurn doc describes how to tell it where the origin is when it starts up:

The Origin settings define where the work area lies in relation to the Home / origin point:

First you tell it where the Home position is, then you tell it where the work area is. With those settled, then you can jog around within the work area.

Note that you should never move the laser head by hand after you establish the Home location, because the controller does not track the actual location. Always jog it using the buttons so the controller and LightBurn know where the head has gone.

I turned off the maciene placed it fully forward and to the left just as the instructions said I’m pretty sure I followed all the instructions the best to my understanding but I hit home just to see and it still went back to the left corner at the top and again no Matter what I did ie start a job or try and jog Laser I get the error message in similar display I really don’t know what’s wrong or what I could possibly be doing wrong

Hi Chris. I imported a new project and Lightburn is not activating the Move or Console panel to begin engraving or adjust the power. Any idea what my issue is? I’m using a Zbaiut engraver and imported the same file from yesterday and had no issues.

just a suggestion, maybe try running the “discover my laser wizard” after removing your machine from the devices list. making sure you select the right machine origin. maybe you mis selected the first time around. double check the user manual to find you specific machines origin x:0 y:0. im not a pro but i have run into this problem before so im hoping my experience can help.

I totally deleted all the settings file it re did the setup like it was new I selected a different orientation front left as LightBurn states and still have the issues so at this point I really don’t know
