I have a problem with my new Omtech K40+.
Most of the time it works well. But sometimes while engraving text, the alignment of the text got broken as seen in the attached pictures.
First I thougt my object moves during engraving, but this is not the Problem. And as you can see missalignment gets worse from letter to letter, but not within a single letter.
Any Suggestion what might be the problem?
I dont think of a Hardware problem (stucked movement) because it occures only from letter to letter. Correct?
Could it be a USB connection problem? I do not know if every single letter is trasferred one after the other.
I did not set any rotary parameter knowingly. I do not have a rotary unit.
I fixed the parts with clamps and weights. First I also thought about moving parts due to the Airflow. But should each letter for itself is ok. If the part is moving I would assume that it is not only between the letters.
There are likely some fine tuning, in addition to your problem you need to act on. Scanning Offset Adjustment e.g.
However, I will start by examining the machine carefully for loose pulleys, loose or too tight timing belts, which is often the cause of this type of problems, but not always easy to find.
The fact that it is a new machine is not a guarantee that it has been properly gathered and adjusted, although the standard has become much better in recent years, for some companies.
150mm/s should not give your machine problems.
In addition, I think your new OMT K40+ is a nice little machine and significantly better as the original K40.
