New Update Software buggy

I updated to newest software version and had to go back to one version below. Jogging is one increment at a time, can’t hold and move to a further point as before. Connection drops and restores when I plug in my air assist compressor. Not sure why, it never happened before. Can’t set Get Position also. Much time wasted trying to set up a burn. Older version much better. 1.0.01

Now the jogging is not good with this version.

Now showing as Malware with Bitdefender, both versions.

You should always download directly from our site or update through the software from the Help menu. We scan everything to ensure the quality of our releases. You may be getting false positives if Bitfinder is not aware of our software.

I always do, a s I don’t know where else it could be. My system is clean as I shut off the pc for the 5 weeks I was away.

I re downloaded latest and installed it. Still “Get Position” does not work and jogging issue, one click to move, I can no longer hold the direction arrow to continuously jog to where I wish to go.

What is being reported to the console when you first connect?

Downloaded and installed 1.0.0.2. A Customer didn’t know any better and installed that version. 0.24 didn’t recognize that file format, so I had to update. The new version deleted all devices and library settings. Reverted back to 0.9.24 and no joy. Everything is gone.

Not fun!!!

@OrturTech, are you aware of anything similar to what the OP is observing?

Not necessarely sure that is an ORTUR machine. Is it?
Also windows or MAC?

You should be able to load a backup Pref’s file to restore. Have a look in the LightBurn Prefs folder for backups.

Windoz 10, not ortur. 6550 machine. I was absent from the machine for 5 weeks, did I forget something?
I was doing great 5 wks ago…lol I still have issues with camera calibrations , X and Y steps are not equal as should be (X=76, Y= 73.50 work best but they should be equal as far as I am concerned. Belts tight, no play, decent machine set up.) I also use a Long Mill CNC no problems. I posted the a video clip and a still yesterday in Facebook.

AWESOME! You LB guys are the BEST!!!

Microsoft is trying to kill my entire network today, and y’all show me a 30 second fix that was already available on the computer and I just didn’t know it!

OZ for the Win – again!

I was having the same issue when I went to 9.24. I reached out to Awesome Tech (use their Mini-GRBL) and they told me to use GRBL-STM instead. I don’t know what board you use, but once I did that, it worked like a charm. I am currently running 1.0.2 without issue.

I tried the STM and no go at all… So now I right click on device which zeroes the current postion of the laser. That is good for me. I also use gSender from scienci labs for their LongMill cnc machine for my wood carving projects. Now very used to it. Hopefully I am not confusing or mentally conflicting the operations of both. 5 weeks away and first 2 days of…“how did I do that” ? I thinkif I wish to combine wood arvings integrated with laser, it may be to add the laser to the LongMill machine so everything is compatible for the same project combo. Just how to integrate the lightburn camera at the finish set up. Then I will only have 1 table instead of 2 tables in the garage. Also, no belts to worry about since the LM is acme screws for XY&Z.

How do I post a short video of this project?Processing: Longmill_Lightburn.mp4…
It said not allowed but I’ll wait… I waited…I think, no go for the MP4 file
