I am using a Scienci longmill MK2, on a lenovo thinkcentre, running GRBL. I have been cutting with the router on it for @ 1 1/2 years. I do some etching/engraving. I have run it in the past by using gsender and toggling to laser. I have also done a few engraves using my lightburn software but have not had time to go through all the tutorials. At the same time, I am self learning vcarve, fusion 360, and lightburn. I am trying to do an engraving on solid oak, on a time crunch for a birthday present. I imported my gcode from vcarve and it seems to be cutting too fast (1500 mm/m ) if I slow it down in test mode to @ 300 mm/m it burns nice. Is there an easy way to turn down the engrave speed for this cut ? I know I am going to have to go through a lot of tutorials to get good with the software but is there a way to get going for this project ? TIA
I have gone into settings, device settings, machine settings. I reset the speed from 1500 mm/m to 300 mm/m everywhere I could find, but it is still moving way too fast. Open to suggestions.
