I am new to the engraving, just got the Ortur Laser Master 2 pro. I tried the simple GRBL softer and it couldn’t even find my laser. I am on the trial period for the Lightburn which found my laser machine but it’s not connecting. I keep getting the message: “data could not be send”. or “machine is pause”. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
If you’re on Windows 7 you’ll likely need to install a driver.
Can you confirm you have the standard Laser Master 2 Pro (not S1 or S2)?

If you have an S1 or S2, you’ll need a different driver:

In that case make sure you use the second link and look for the driver there. Ortur switched the microcontroller used in their lasers starting with S1.
Follow the instructions very carefully. There are a few choices that might appear to be the same but are not. Do this incorrectly and you’ll have a bad time.

Once there, there’s a tab for a driver. Click that. Then there’s a PDF for how to address the driver issue. Follow the instructions there.
