"no layer set for output"

Lightburn often reports “no layer set for output” although I have layers set to “green” for output.
But the same file worked like this 2 days before…

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you post a full screenshot of LightBurn with that project open please?

Have you ticked Cut selected graphics selected but not selected any graphics, I can’t remember if it gives that message or a slightly different worded one.

If Ignore out of bounds shapes if possible is turned on and any part of the shape is outside the current machine boundaries, it won’t be sent to the laser:

If:

  • Your machine has homing switches and
  • Homing operates correctly and
  • LightBurn is set to Start from: Absolute coordinates and
  • The entire design (with any overscan regions) fits within the workspace
  • Then it should do what you expect

Thank you very much it seems that that was the problem: the workspace was to small.
I don’t know why it works the times before but I’m happy it works again, thank you
